Stanford Invitational

On Saturday we had a race at Stanford. This meeting was the biggest meeting ever. There was about 50 teams from the whole state California and other states. There was about 2000 - 4000 people and the best runner of the state California. We needed about 4 hours to get to Stanford, so we left already at Friday. My race was at 9.00am on Saturday and it was only 1.8 miles. The course was on a golf course, so it was a little up and downhill. It wasn't so hard, because ususally we run about 3 miles. I had a lot of fun there, although it was a kind of crazy with so lot people. We left at about 1.00pm and we were in Lincoln at about 6.pm. This was a great race and I did pretty good.
This weekend there didn't happen anything at school excepting the Stanford Invitational.

AFS Meeting

This weekend I had my AFS meeting at lake tahoe. On the way to it I saw snow!!! Snow in California!! Dad said, it can snow the whole year at the mountain, which was really suprised to me. So don"t trust the TV!!!
On the weekend I had a lot of fun. We got a work book, which we used, but we also had a lot of freetime to relax. On Saturday evening there was a karaoke, where everyone tried his best. We had a lot of fun there. So we went to bed at 2 o'clock in the night, and had to stand up at 7 o'clock. Some "crazy" boys went swimming in the lake!! Oh my god! On Sunday the host family came to do their work.
This weekend was so great and I miss everyone, because we had a great time there. There were exchange students from different countries, like Italy, Thailand, Japan, ...I'm really looking forward to the next AFS meeting in January. It will be great!!

My 6th week

This week was one of the most busy, but also one of my best week, I ever had. This week was the homecoming week, which means every day was another dress up day. On Monday it was the Twin Day, on Tuesday it was "back in time", on Thursday it was suporting Seniors and Juniors, on Thursday it was "1st B-Day / over the hill" and on Friday it was the spirit day. On Monday it was also a early release day, which means you have only school till 1.30pm. Every month there is one early release day. On Wednesday I had a cross country race at our course and afterwards I had the Powdepuff game in the rain!! And on Friday there was homecoming. The weather isn't so hot than the weeks before, it's a little bit cold and it could rain this weekend. You see, it was a really busy week, but I had a lot of fun with my friends.

Homecoming

Today it was the homecoming game and the 100year parade. The whole day we (from leadership) had to prepare the homecoming game and the dance afterwards. So I didn't have school today, but it was really busy. The gym looks great now, we did a great job!!
After the school there was a parade with the band, the princess of each grade and the cars of each grade. It was really funny, and it was great to watch the parade. At 5.30pm there was the J/V match, but we lost.
I watched the varsity game, which was really great. The rules are a little bit complicated, but who cares. I had a lot of fun there, although it was cold. We win 38 to 0 and you will find a lot of pictures at my link.
After the game there was a dance in the old gym. I had a lot of fun with my friend there, although I was really tired..

But guess what happen?? ...-it rained almost the whole match, it was so cold in the cheerleading clothes. I was freezing!! And that in California... It was the first rain since I've been here, but I had also a lot of fun, because we (Seniors) have won the game and the Juniors lost :-)Of course!!. After the game there was a night rally for our homecoming game on Friday!!
More picture you will find on the link powderpuff at my picture!!

My 5th week

My 5th week is already over and I still enjoy my time here. School is very busy and I get a lot of homework. This week I wrote 3 test in Maths, 2 test in Chemistry and 1 test in Physics. It's quite a lot for me, but I have a lot of fun here. From my Robotics teacher I got a snickers, because I was the best in programming the robot. We have to programm our robtos, that their run a given distance and the stop before a line. My robot stopped .03cm, .05cm and 0.5cm before the three given line. I joined three clubs, the Recycling club, the Interact key club and the SOS club (there we collect money for poor people and make attraction to get money for them). The clubs have their meeting during the lunchtime, so there isn't a lot of free time for me at a school day.
On Wednesday I also visited the musical Jersey Boys, which was so great.
Yesterday I had my first practice for "powderpuff" for homecoming next week. Power puff means, the gilrs play football and the boys cheers. I have a lot of fun with my friends there.
Next week is the homecoming week, which means every day is another dress up day!!
Today I had a race from cross country at Nevada Union and the bus left at 6.45am! It was so ealy and the course
was the whole time up and down and the last mile was only uphill exepting the finish line.
For my 3 miles I needed 26.08min and I was the place 92 from 100!

Church service

Today I were with Mum in the chuch service. It's very
different to Germany. The service is in a gym of a
middle school and there you can get coffee, tea or
hot chocolate and you can drink them in the service.
The church has his own band and the pastor has no
special clothes on, he wear just normal clothes and he
was using PowerPoint for the song and the bible textes.
The services begins with some songs, and then the
pastor says something in 1 hour and the service
ends with songs. It was very excited and next week
I will go to the church of Mum's brother, because
the band is better there. :-)

there ran about 150-200 runner. For my 3 miles I needed 25.47 minutes, which
was 2 minutes faster than the Fun Run!!!
I had a lot of fun there and next week is my second race.
I have every week at least one race!!
